Julio Mayol, Surgery and SoMe

Professor Julio Mayol talks to us from his home town of Madrid, Spain about his journey through academic surgery, to administrative leader and innovator in the exploding world of Social Media and Surgery. For the record, Julio Mayol is Professor of Surgery at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Chief Medical and Innovation Officer at Hospital Clinico San Carlos. He is President of the Spanish Society of Surgical Research and Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Spain.

He is an amateur but enthusiastic, skillful and daily photographer as he walks to and from work every day.
