Mark spent is early life in South Africa and from his earliest days was something of a car nut. He never abandoned that passion - his not so modest stable of cars proves that - and is now passing his love for cars on to his son.
Sit back and enjoy his life journey and have a small drool over the many cars - past and present - that are part of the story of "Stuff that Matters"!!

Eric Pauli is something of an odd-ball in several ways - he agrees BTW!! Surgical endoscopists are rare birds and he is certainly one of the most prominent in the field. Interventional techniques are his passion such as closing fistula defects and repairing leaks. Reconstructing abdominal wall defects is another favorite pastime and has resulted in an international reputation in the hernia world! Born and raised in Scranton, PA as perhaps the second most famous alumni (!!) he has spent most of his professional career in Hershey where is first major hobby was cheesemaking - is he blessed one wonders?? As that interest got rather out of hand, he soon picked up another that was less smelly!! Road cycling is his latest passion and there are few places where he has not been found wearing too much lycra/spandex and silly shoes. All in all, you will definitely want to hear this interview - and please forgive the slightly sub-optimal video quality. I blame the cheese fumes - in PA!

Listen to her story of starting life in the North East, Fellowship in the Mid-West and Faculty career in California - starting in San Francisco and long-term in San Diego.
A modern thinking surgeon who sees beyond the traditional approach and works hard to support the values of diversity and inclusion - all while hiding a not so secret obsession with doughnuts!

Along the way, not only has he become a star in his professional field but for many years he has also been a consistent front runner in the world of historic or vintage racing cars.

This is the story from George Fielding, bariatric legend from Brisbane and more lately New York. He describes how it all started for him and his travels from Australia to, Scotland, England and Switzerland before establishing himself back in Australia as a pioneer of the Lap Band. Having inserted 1000's he then had one himself more than 2 decades ago. Just when life seemed all too good, a series of brushes with mortality have led him to a place of happiness in life and only interested in living every day to the fullest. Wine, family, friends, duck hunting and fishing are just a few of the topics we covered. #stuffthatmatters @SurgeonsLives on YouTube
